Sifu Ray Abeyta AKA “Tai Chi Tex”
|
|
Sifu Ray Abeyta has over 20 years training in Internal
Energy work, including meditation, Reiki & QiGong. He has been a life long
martial artist & is a former 3 time National USA Tai Chi Champion. He was
also a member of the USA team that went to China for the Bi-Annual
International Taijiquan Competition of Jiaozuo, China in August 2007.
Ray has written many articles on Tai Chi and related arts
and is known for his direct, down to earth teaching method. Mixed with his own
brand of humor, students laugh, learn & grow in his classes.

LaoShir Joseph Otero
|
|
Joseph Otero, a practitioner of Auricular Acupuncture,
based on the fact that there are energetic points for the entire body mapped
out on the ear's surface. This specific protocol was developed by NADA
(National Acupuncture Detoxification Association), first used to assist
individuals who were suffering with addictive disorders or chronic pain. Joseph
is a counselor/therapist who has been specializing in treating
addictive/compulsive disorders for the past 14 years. Joseph incorporates
Eastern Philosophy and Alternative Healing methods along with traditional
psychotherapeutic interventions in his practice with very good results. Trained
in Dallas by NADA, clinical work at Homeward Bound, an inpatient Chemical
Dependency/Mental Health Clinic.

Sifu Louie Prieto Jr.
|
|
For more than 15 years, Louie has studied Yang, Wu, and
Chen styles of Tai Chi, along with many Chi gung systems at various schools
across the country. He is also currently working towards a master’s degree in
physical therapy at the University of Texas at El Paso. As a former state and
national push hands champion, as well as having taught in settings such as
physical rehabilitation, with senior citizens and the general population for
the past 8 years, Louie has found the practice of Tai Chi and Chi Gung to be
immensely beneficial in helping to create a more balanced and vigorous state of
health, well being, and athletic capacity.
I would like to extend this invitation to explore a wonderful form of exercise,
meditation and self defense which has helped to make the lives of millions of
people healthy and vibrant.

Sifu Wolf Carter
|
|
An Engineer in Alternate Energy Sources, started Tai Chi
w/sifu Ray nearly 5 years ago and has become one of the Texas School of Tai
Chi's top instructors as well a multi-event National Tai Chi Champion. Wolf
also accompanied Ray to China in 2007 & took 2nd place in form competition
& 6th in Push Hands at the Jiazuo International Bi-annual competition.. "He
has become my right hand at the school and we will miss him when he moves, we
are honored to have him teach at this Roundup before he moves on..." - Sifu Ray

Sifu Bill Gallen
|
|
Bill Gallen has over 18 years of experience in the
Taoist Arts. Benjamin Pang Jeng Lo (Ben Lo) is his "grandteacher." Gallen is a senior student and
certified instructor in the school of tai chi sifu Robert Tangora.
