| Rick Barrett and Don Ethan Miller
Ray has also been a long-time student of push hands champions Rick Barrett and Don Ethan Miller.
Rick Barrett is a well known Taiji author, teacher, judge, referee and competitor for the past 20 + years and is highly sought after for workshops, book signings, and healing seminars. His annual Tai Chi Alchemy seminar with Don Miller, in Sedona Ariz., is legendary. He is one of North America’s most highly awarded Taiji push hands competitor. Rick is also a senior student of Grandmaster William C.C. Chen and Master Yang, Fukui.
Don Miller, besides being one of the Taiji World’s most interesting characters, teachers and trail blazin’ push hands competitors, is also a poet, scholar, screenplay writer and producer of the only true Taiji calendar on the planet. Don has studied 30 + years with many greats of the Taiji world, i.e. Grandmaster T.T. Liang, American Taiji Master B.K. Frantzis, Taiwan’s Master C.K. Chern and the legendary Willem “Uncle Bill” DeThoures just to name a few.
Individually these Masterful teachers, Rick and Don, have brought the art of Taiji to an untold number of people worldwide and increased the skills of all they have touched. Together they are truly a Taiji force to be reckoned with. I count my self-lucky to be one of those who learned much from these two gentleman and friends for the last 10 years. |

| Master Yan Yuanhua
Ray also studies with Wu Style Tai Chi Master, Yan, Yuanhua. Master Yan visits El Paso on a regular basis.
Yan has extensive experience with the four internal art forms -- Chen and Yang Tai Chi, Bagua and Hsing-I. Yan teaches the qigong system, called Wei Shi Hunyuan Qigong, which he continues to practice today in preference to other qigong and Zhang Zhuang methods.
One of his main teacher`s name was Qian Chaoqun who was an indoor student of the renowned Wu style master, Ma Yueh-liang. He had also studied with one of Ma`s older classmates, named Peng, who like Ma was an indoor student of Ma`s father-in-law, the Wu Style founder Grandmaster Wu JianQuan.
Master Yan teaches with an open heart and extreme generosity. He is patient, caring and humble. A difficult trait to find in a legitimate Taiji Master. |

| Grandmaster Zhu Tiancai
Ray is also honored to bring to El Paso, Chen Family Village Grandmaster Zhu, Tiancai and Master C.P. Ong.
Grandmaster Zhu is a 19th generation lineage holder of Chenjiagou style Taiji and is considered one of the 4 Tigers or Gems of Chen Family Village Taiji. His accomplishments are well known throughout the world and he is considered a living treasure of China. Grandmaster Zhu is tireless in his spreading of legitimate Chen family village Taiji throughout the world. His kind, happy demeanor is contagious and although he works us hard we all have a wonderful time, learn much and develop true taiji jing. He is a joy to study with and just watching him flow gracefully, with power intent and root, you know immediately you are in the presence of a true Grandmaster of Taiji.
Master C. P. Ong is a 20th generation lineage holder of Chenjiagou Taiji and is responsible for taking these hi level Taiji Masters around the world for us to meet, learn from and enjoy. He is a thoughtful taiji author, scholar and a teacher. All find his constant smile, quiet demeanor and straightforward approach to teaching to be refreshing. We are grateful for his unceasing translation from Mandarin to English for Grandmaster Zhu and his admonition to continue to practice our Taiji and to become “one Taiji family under the sun”. Thank you CP! |
